Real Change for Portland City Council

Priorities

Creating an Inclusive Model of City Government and Engagement with Our Community

I believe strongly that as a city councilor, that inclusive engagement with our community will be an essential component of our work. As we make policy and budget decisions, it is important that we create space for community voice.

I want to be a part of the change in city government and by giving agency to the concerns of our constituents.

Creating a Sustainable Future for Portland

Addressing the issues of environmental injustice in our city is of the utmost importance. It's time to elevate the sustainability and livability issues in Portland that are impacting the health, well-being and quality of life for families. We need to create policies and plans that will promote clean air, adequate transportation, safe and affordable housing, and adequate roads in our community.

Prioritizing Community Safety

We need to create policies that support efforts to ensure the safety of our residents. We have multiple challenges to community safety that will need to be addressed collaboratively with local and state agencies.

Lead with Accountability and Transparency

The purpose of charter reform is to establish community accountability for Portland council members. I am committed to being a councilor that is accessible and accountable with members of my community.

Commitment to Work Collaboratively with Community Stakeholders

Commitment to working collaboratively with community stakeholders. I am committed to developing a working relationship with community organizations, labor unions and local government entities and work together to work toward the best possible outcomes for Portland.
